Overview:
We are offering a course dedicated specifically to the development of your Game Model. This course will be the first of its kind in the US and is aimed at those coaches looking to identify, formalize and define the key objectives and principles that underpin how they want their team to play - within different phases of the game. The course will outline steps to ensure that any subsequent video and data analysis undertaken will be completely aligned to your own Game Model, maximizing individual and team development.
Cost:
The cost for the course is $225. If you are not a current member of United Soccer Coaches when registering you will be charged an additional $150.
Course Aims:
Upon completion of this Special Topics course, the candidate will be better equipped to identify, document, and define where necessary:
· the key phases of the game around which their Game Model will be developed.
· their ‘playing philosophy’ i.e., how they want their team to play within each phase of the game.
· the key objectives & principles that underpin their Game Model.
· the position-specific roles & responsibilities that relate to the implementation of the key principles.
In addition, the course will provide coaches with the understanding of the relationship between a Game Model and a Game Plan. It will also provide an understanding and a framework for aligning video and data analysis to the Game Model.
Target Candidate:
Those coaches who have been actively working in the game and have a specific interest in developing and/or refining their own Game Model.
Course Duration:
This is a 3-day online course that will be held from 12:00-2:30 pm CST each day from March 3-5, 2025. Full attendance at all sessions is required to successfully complete the course.
Course Outcomes:
Assessment - There is no formal assessment.
On successful completion of this course the candidate will be awarded the United Soccer Coaches Game Model Level-1 Diploma.
